Learn Portuguese with ASSOCIAÇÃO BRASILEIRA DE EDUCAÇÃO E CULTURA LTD!

Portuguese is an increasingly in-demand language across many professional fields, including tourism, research, interpreting, international trade, and global cooperation. It is the official language of eight countries (Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, East Timor) and is also spoken in Equatorial Guinea, Goa, Diu and Daman (India), and Macau (China).

Based in the UK, our school offers online Portuguese courses taught by experienced native-speaking teachers. We provide both Brazilian and European variants of Portuguese in small group settings, ensuring interactive and engaging learning experiences.

Upcoming Courses:

• Beginner Course A1 – Fridays (6:30 PM – 8:30 PM), starting 28 February 2025
  Learn basic grammar rules, everyday expressions, and how to communicate in simple and familiar situations.
• Beginner Course A2 – Thursdays (6:30 PM – 8:30 PM), starting 20 March
  Registrations open until 14 March
  Expand vocabulary, review grammar, and gain confidence in real-life conversations for personal, social, and work-related contexts.
• Intermediate Course B1 – Wednesdays (6:30 PM – 8:30 PM), starting 19 March
  Registrations open until 13 March
  Understand more complex topics, write more structured texts, and express yourself on meaningful subjects. Includes cultural content through music and media.
• Advanced Course C1 – Mondays (6:30 PM – 8:30 PM), starting 24 February
• Advanced Course C2 – Tuesdays (6:30 PM – 8:30 PM), starting 25 February
  Master all language registers (formal, informal, familiar, colloquial) and handle complex written and spoken communication. Courses also include discussions on current affairs and Lusophone cultures.

Course Info:

• All classes are online via Zoom or Google Meet
• Each course includes 20 sessions of 2 hours
• Fee: £400
• Full refund if the course is not activated
• Recommended textbook: “Falar, Ler, Escrever Português” by Emma Eberlein Lima and Samira Lunes (no need to purchase before the course begins)

Certificates and Recognition:

Participants who attend at least 70% of the sessions will receive a certificate of attendance and, upon completion of a short final exam, a course level certificate.

Many of our students go on to take the CELPE-BRAS exam — the only internationally recognized Portuguese language certificate, required by Brazilian universities and many institutions and companies.
